🧱 What you’ll be making

You’ll start with a hand-thrown, handle-less mug created by Airr Made Ceramics.

From there, you’ll mould and attach your own custom climbing holds to transform it into a functional (and very cool) mug.

Guided by Airr Made’s expert ceramicists, you’ll learn:

⭐ Pinching and slab techniques to create climbing-inspired textures

⭐ Secure attachment methods for shaping and fixing your holds

⭐ Personalisation techniques to paint and design your mug in your own style

Once complete, your mug will be professionally glazed and fired.

🥂 Food, drinks & good vibes

As we’ll be using our hands for the majority of the workshop, we’ll be providing light food designed to be enjoyed during the demonstration portions of the session.

Think mini bánh mì or rice paper rolls, plus a fresh fruit platter — perfect for grazing without interrupting the creative flow.

You’ll also be sipping on Australian Native Plum Aperitif by Tanica, with non-alcoholic options available. Dietary requirements will be catered for so everyone feels included.

🔥 Glazing, firing & collection

After the workshop, your mug will be professionally glazed and fired by Airr Made Ceramics.

• The glazing and firing process takes approximately 4–6 weeks (maximum)

• All pieces will be ready for collection within 6 weeks

• We recommend taking a photo of your piece on the day if you’d like progress updates, as this helps the studio identify your work

• Pieces must be collected within 4 months of completion. Any uncollected items after this time will be donated

Joining us from out of town? If you’re travelling or visiting from afar, your finished mug can be shipped to you at an additional cost. Simply let the team know on the day of the workshop.
