CGC x West Head to Mackerel Beach

Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park is tucked away in the north of Sydney, with iconic views across to the Central Coast and Palm Beach. Come for a hike with us through lush bushland which meanders along dirt trails above hidden coves. Dip down to Resolute Beach, find the hidden indigenous cave system, and wade across the shallow waves to wander across Mackerel Beach.

The West Head to Mackerel Beach trail begins at the lookout, so you get stunning views before taking on any of the hike! You'll then follow the trail long the cliff line and end up at Mackerel Beach - a small settlement with roads but no cars! It's a fascinating place with a tiny beach library hidden on the jetty. Reachable only by ferry or foot, this tiny town is a gorgeous place to explore.

Suitable for: Those with a decent level of fitness and capable of winding trails with uphill sections.

Transport:

Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park is only accessible by car and requires a fee for parking. For those without cars, there is a ticket option which includes transport from Roseville Station.
